Committees

Advent - The Advent Committee plans St. Malachy School’s spiritual journey to prepare for the birth of our Lord.  Prayers, prayer services, and service projects are planned to help our students focus on the meaning of Christmas.  A PTO parent liaison is selected to help plan and recruit any extra volunteers needed for projects. 

Lent - The Lent Committee plans St. Malachy School’s spiritual journey to prepare for Easter.  Plans include student activities in almsgiving, prayer, and sacrifice.  Holy Week includes a Holy Thursday Prayer Service and Mary’s Way of the Cross, led by our 8th grade students. A PTO parent liaison is selected to help plan and recruit any extra volunteers needed for projects.

Catholic Schools Week - The Catholic Schools Week committee plans the school’s week long celebration.  Special events are planned in recognition of the week set aside by the National Catholic Education Association.  The theme for the 2009-2010 school year is, “Catholic Schools-Dividends for Life”.  A PTO parent liaison is selected to help plan and recruit any extra volunteers needed for projects.

Red Ribbon Day - Red Ribbon Day promotes student awareness not to use drugs inappropriately and make good life choices.  Activities are planned to help students commit to a healthy lifestyle.  A PTO parent liaison is selected to help plan and recruit any extra volunteers needed for projects.

Technology - The Technology Committee advises the school on Information Technology and Audio-Visual Technology. The current chairperson is Michael Jasiak.
