Extended Day Program (2010-2011 School Year)
The program will follow the school calendar and will be offered only when school is in session for full days. In the event of inclement weather or mechanical difficulties, the program will not be offered.
Hours of Operation: 2:45-6:00 pm. When the school day has ended the children will be released to the gym for “check in”. Time is set aside for snack and homework. We have various indoor activities, and go outside when weather and space permit. Homework time is offered to allow the student to get a “head start” prior to going home. It is not the responsibility of the staff to check homework for completeness and/or correctness.
Registration and Hourly Rates: Each family is required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of $30.00 per school year. Hourly rated are per child/per hour. All children must be picked up by 6:00 pm. A fee of $1.00 per minute will be added to your child’s sheet for each minute past 6:00 pm. We know that emergency situations arise, and that traffic back-ups cannot always be foreseen. We, too, have obligations after 6:00 pm. We have no choice by to enforce this fee. Each family will be expected to pay all charges incurred during the week on the last day of attendance for that week. A PENALTY OF $25.00 WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY RETURNED CHECK.

The parent is required to note the time of pick up and sign-out when they pick up their child(ren). The full-day charge of $12.00 will be incurred if time and signature are not noted. For children involved in extra-curricular activities, a special column will note when they leave or return to Extended Day. The Program follows school policies and behavioral guidelines. If someone other than the child’s parent will be picking up the child, our staff will need a written notice of this change. If you receive last minute notice that this change will be taking place, please call the school office before 2:00 pm. Children leaving Extended Day to go to extra-curricular activities, such as athletics, will need to be signed out by AN ADULT. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in this matter, our concern is for the safety of all of our children.
*Note: Even though you may pick-up your child(ren) at 2:50 pm, you will still incur the $3.00 fee. Although it is a short time frame, we have to cover the cost of your child’s daily snack and our staffing costs.
**Please do not send money with your child(ren) for soft drinks out of the machine. They will not be allowed to purchase them, as we are often housed in carpeted classrooms.
***Please do not allow your child(ren) to bring Game Boys and/or other handheld electronic games. Please do not allow your child(ren) to bring Collector and/or Trading Cards. These items are not allowed at school. They are too valuable to be brought to Extended Day and risk of being lost.
